Tommy right at home with lavish lifestyle

If you were to listen to Tommy Thompson talk about himself on the campaign trail, you would think that he has been a farmer in Elroy for the last 10 years.  During the current campaign he has said "I lived my whole life in Wisconsin" and that he "never left".

Unfortunately for Tommy most people know that he has actually been very busy peddling his influence among the special interests in Washington D.C. for most of the last decade. He has become so successful at shilling for them that it has made him a multimillionaire.  In fact he is so rich at this point that he has run into a John McCain problem recently.  Dan Bice is reporting that Tommy apparently couldn't remember all of his million dollar homes and condos.
As Bice provided in his column, several of these properties were listed as Tommy's residence on various campaign finance documents. In fact there are such filings in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.  So exactly how does that gel with with Tommy's claim that he "never left" Wisconsin? How does any of this gel with the false image that Tommy is trying to promote on the campaign trail?  He seems right at home with his new lavish lifestyle even as he tries to convince us that he is just some simple farmer from Elroy.
